[03/2014] CAP keeps an eye on the intellectual piracy

Our professional networking Cercle Assist’Pro is happy to see that its ideas, actions, conference topics, partnership… managed by the secretaries, assistants and office managers from Paris are highly favorable received… so much that they are cheerfully replicated by FFMAS (via congresses, regional associations), in particular for their next event relating to freelance assistants (1 month after our one-day event from 8 February, latest intitled “Focus on the profession as independent assistant").

But the trouble - because it is an issue – is when FFMAS is appropriating our texts and contents and simply copies and pastes by modifying 2 or 3 works to talk about their event, without any permission or mentioning the names of the original authors/players. Let’s have a look to our pre-program of 14 January, our program of 24 January and the one of FFMAS dated 28 February and this says it all !

We would like to remind that the objectives of Cercle Assist’Pro is to enhance our profession and to support every person working in this area with concrete actions carried out by dedicated volunteers  ; and these actions are the result of a long work. Therefore we are asking FFMAS to delete each and every item (or failing that, to add the name of the author i.e. Cercle Assist’Pro), including the content of some sections of your website (example: section Library Books).  Failing that, we will be left with no choice but to start lawsuits with respect to articles L112-2 and L122-4 from the Intellectual property rights.
 
This leads us to wonder why FFMAS indicates on its website: “all documents and pictures on this site belong to FFMAS or to their original authors for which FFMAS has acquired the permission of the reproduction rights. Do not reproduce without the authorization of the concerned original authors” while FFMAS is not fulfilling its commitments to others.

Tired of FFMAS provocations, which declare themselves as “the voice of the profession” to CAP (the last one dated last October but our messages were deleted!), today we are saying STOP! From now on we will respond to every attack or plunder of our data to make our own voice heard!  A word to the wise…

It is the oldest events dedicated to Office and Secretarial Jobsthat welcome Secretaries, Assistants and Office Managers for a full day of training. Every year, this forum is organized around a specific theme and offers several conferences covering various aspects of the theme. [06/2013] 18 June, it was the day dedicated to the Assistants
The Convention Assist Manager is the day references to attending them of Assistants! Punctuated with meetings, exchanges and of strong time, it was the major appointment to remain successful in its post and stay tuned to the market. Cercle Assist' Pro was present in this day, and we thank quite those who came to visit us on our stand to exchange about our job. We make an appointment with you next year for the 5th editionof the Convention which plans big changes for 2014: new format of event, new identity, exhibition, debates, innovation etc.

[06/2013] 15 & 16 June , Cercle Assist'Pro's Summer days
A key moment for CAP, professional and warm. 2 conferences are scheduled on Saturday: “The emotional Intelligence”, by Joël LUZI and “Communication & Team cohesion” by Jean-Luc MERCKX. On Sunday, an educational guided trip to discover the Montsouris area and the painting workshops of famous artists (Georges Braque, Salvador Dali, André Derain, Paul Gauguin, Amedeo Modigliani, Chana Orloff, Nicolas de Staël...).

[01/2012] Looking back on the secretary's job
Women began working in offices thanks to typing jobs, and were typists or secretaries. Even before the first World War; they brought their modern touch to offices, which was very different from the one of old men, writers and dispatching agents at that time… The story of our trade, was the theme of the radio program “La Marche de l'Histoire”, presented by Jean Lebrun on France Inter on January 16 th , 2013.

[10/2012] POPULAIRE, a movie realized by Régis Roinsard and with actors Romain Duris and Déborah François. Released on November 28th, 2012
Yolande Laffont and Vanessa Guillemette from Cercle Assist'Pro took part in the shooting of the movie that honors the secretary's trade, its history and its role in the social development of women status. During several months they played the role of typists and trained on old writing machines to boost their typing speed. That was real sport! They had to tame those “antiquities”! Nothing for sensitive fingers! During a week they plunged back in the 50ies, with a typing speed test. The shooting gave them the opportunity to discover the other side of the movie industry, meet and cherish persons from different worlds, and see the backstage of a movie shooting. In a few words, it was an unforgettable and a rich experience.

[02/2012] Signature of an agreement with the Paris Academy
Last January a seminar was held; many participants including 150 teachers attended. The focus was the new High School Management/Administration diploma (Bac Pro Gestion/Administration), a merger of 2 high school diplomas specializing on the one hand in secretarial skills and on the other hand in accounting. During the seminar CAP members could share their experience as administration management assistants on the business evolution, the required skills and what is expected in the professional field. Other actions will be organized over 2012 to encourage synergy between the Académie de Paris/teachers/Cercle Assist'Pro, in order to share the trade expertise with the students.

2012 .... Active input of Cercle Assist'Pro on the occasion of its 1st participation to the Bedouk tradefair

Who has never experienced this stressful situation of organizing an event for someone who does not know what he wants? Or worse, who wants everything at the same time, meaning an unusual venue event, warm, in Paris (or not), high-end but not luxurious and of course cheap
